Motorcycle crash kills rider

motorcycle crash on Monday claimed the life of one rider and left the other in serious condition after a collision with a car. 

According to officials, the two were riding the motorcycle in the northbound lane on South Alvernon Way when the driver of the motorcycle ran a red light. The motorcycle crashed into a car that was making a left turn at the intersection. The driver of the car was taken to the hospital for evaluation, but her one-year-old child was not injured in the accident. The 36-year-old passenger of the motorcycle was killed in the crash, while the driver of the motorcycle was hospitalized with serious injuries.
