How long do I have to file a claim?

The time limit on filing a personal injury claim is a state-set regulation. In Arizona, as in a number of other states, personal injury victims have 2 years from the time of the injury to file a claim. Should the plaintiff wait longer than the allotted 2 years, for whatever reason, then he or she is no longer eligible to make a claim. It is important for victims to take action as soon as possible in order to preserve the right to take legal action.
