Dale
Haralson

Born in Colorado City, Texas, Dale
Haralson began his law practice in
1963 after earning his B.B.A. from
Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene,
Texas, and his J.D. from the University
of Arizona College of Law. Mr. Haralson
currently focuses his practice on
personal injury, medical malpractice,
products liability, insurance, and
aviation and railroad litigation.
He is certified as a Specialist in
Injury and Wrongful Death Litigation
by the State Bar of Arizona and as
a Specialist in Civil Trial Advocacy
by the National Board of Trial Advocacy.
Mr. Haralson is admitted to practice
in the state of Arizona; the U.S.
District Court, District of Arizona,
Western District of Texas, District
of Utah, District of Nevada; the U.S.
Court of Appeals, 5 th Circuit, 9
th Circuit, 10 th Circuit; and the
U.S. Supreme Court. As one of the
most accomplished and experienced
trial lawyers in the country, Mr.
Haralson has also become a popular
lecturer, having been invited to present
lectures at both national and regional
seminars.
In addition to his law practice,
Mr. Haralson is an active member of
several prestigious professional organizations,
within which he has frequently served
in positions of responsibility. Mr.
Haralson sat on the Board of Governors
of the Association of Trial Lawyers
of America for nearly 20 years, simultaneously
holding the position of Vice-President
from 1981 to 1982 and Treasurer from
1978 to 1981. He has also served as
President, Vice-President, Secretary,
and Parliamentarian of the Western
Trial Lawyers Association, and continues
to sit on the organization’s
Board of Governors. Mr. Haralson has
additionally served as President of
the Arizona Trial Lawyers Association
(1969-1970); as President of ATLA
Auxiliary (1976-1977); on the Board
of Governors of the Trial Lawyers
for Public Justice (1987-1990); as
Chairman of the Trial Practice Section
of the Arizona State Bar Association
(1971-1972); on the Arizona Supreme
Court Committee for Arizona Uniform
Jury Instructions (1973-1975); on
the Special Committee of Medical Malpractice
Panels (1976-1978); and on the University
of Arizona, Law College Association,
Board of Directors (1984-1987). In
addition, Mr. Haralson is a member
of the Pima County Bar Association,
the California Trial Lawyers Association,
the Texas Trial Lawyers Association,
the Practicing Law Institute, the
Law-Science Academy, the American
Board of Trial Advocates, and the
American Bar Association. He is a
Fellow of both the International Academy
of Trial Lawyers and the International
Society of Barristers.
On many occasions throughout his
distinguished career, Mr. Haralson’s
professional excellence has been formally
recognized by his peers and by several
highly regarded publications. He is
a recipient of the Trial Lawyer of
the Year award from the Trial Lawyers
for Public Justice, as well as a Special
Recognition Award by the Arizona Association
of Defense Counsel for epitomizing
the highest standards of integrity
and professionalism. He has been named

in America, widely regarded as

the United States. In addition, Mr.
Haralson has been acknowledged in

In 1983, Mr. Haralson was honored
by Hardin-Simmons University with

Aside from being one of Arizona’s
most renowned lawyers, Mr. Haralson
is a devoted family man. He and his
wife, Betty, have two children and
five granddaughters. In addition,
Mr. Haralson always finds the time
to contribute to the community, having
been a member of the University of
Arizona Arthritis Advisory Board and
the Tucson General Hospital Trustees.
He currently sits on the Arizona Board
of Directors for the Fellowship of
Christian Athletes. In his free time,
Mr. Haralson is a private pilot with
single and multi-engine instrument
rating. He also enjoys tennis, scuba,
skiing, and doing ministry work with
the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

G. Eugene
Isaak
Mr. Isaak was admitted to the practice
of law in North Dakota in 1961 and
in Arizona in 1963. He holds degrees
from the University of North Dakota
and a Master of Law Degree in Tax
from New York University. He is also
a Certified Public Accountant licensed
in Arizona. His area of practice is
estate planning, probate law, and
taxation. He has served as an officer
and director of the Southern Arizona
Estate Planning Council and as a member
of the Probate and Trust section of
the State Bar.
Mr. Isaak is rated “AV”
by Martindale-Hubbell and has been
named as one of the Best Lawyers
in America in the area of Trusts
and Estates. He is a Fellow, American
College of Trust and Estate Counsel.
Gerald
Maltz
Mr. Maltz began his legal career in New York in 1970 after graduating cum laude from New
York Law School in 1968, where he was Associate Editor of the Law Review. He has tried
antitrust, securities, libel, employment, corporate, real estate, professional malpractice,
products, entity dissolution, tax, condemnation, major personal injury and a wide variety of
other kinds of civil cases. He was admitted to the Arizona Bar in 1977 and has been a
member of the firm since then. He has served as an instructor for the National Institute of
Trial Advocacy and the Pima County Bar Trial Advocacy Program. He has also served as
a superior court judge pro tempore in jury and bench trials since 1983. He was a member of
the Arizona State Boxing Commission (1979-1985) and served as its chairman.
Mr.
Maltz is available, on a selective basis, as an arbitrator and
mediator, and as an expert witness on professional liability issues. He
has also served as court appointed special master in a number of cases.
He has been a speaker at a number of CLE programs for lawyers and
judges.
Mr. Maltz is rated “AV” by Martindale-Hubbell and has been named one of the Best
Lawyers in America in the areas of business litigation (all editions) and labor and
employment law and one of the Best Lawyers in Arizona in the area of business litigation.

T. Patrick
Griffin
Mr. Griffin holds degrees from the
University of California and the University
of Arizona School of Law. He was admitted
to the Arizona Bar in 1973 and has
a background in banking law and finance.
Before joining the firm in 1979, he
was Executive Vice President and General
Counsel of Union Bank. His area of
practice is commercial transactions
involving real estate and business
assets, with special emphasis on acquisition,
financing, development, and governmental
regulation including planning, zoning,
and annexation. He has worked on some
of the major commercial transactions
in Pima County.

named one of the Best Lawyers
in America in the area of real
estate law.
Philip
J. Hall
Mr. Hall is a native Tucsonan and
graduate of the University of Arizona
School of Law. He was admitted to
the Arizona Bar in 1974 and joined
the firm in 1985. He has served as
Co-Chairman of the State Bar Section
on Worker’s Compensation Law,
and on the Boards of the Arizona Trial
Lawyers Association and the Arizona
Center for Law in the Public Interest.
He is a superior court judge
pro tempore.
Mr. Hall’s practice includes
asbestos litigation, medical malpractice,
and industrially related injury, as
well as products liability and other
plaintiff’s personal injury
cases, especially cases involving
catastrophic injury.
Mr. Hall is certified as a specialist
in personal injury and wrongful death
by the Arizona Supreme Court. He is

in Spanish.
Thomas
G. Cotter
Mr. Cotter holds degrees from Michigan
State University and the University
of Arizona School of Law. He was admitted
to the Arizona Bar in 1983, at which
time he joined the firm. In addition
to his practice in the area of personal
injury, insurance litigation, and
insurance bad faith, he handles other
aspects of civil litigation where
his background and aptitude for science
apply (including computer related
litigation). He has played a leading
role in many cases that have resulted
in seven figure verdicts or settlements.
Mr. Cotter is a sustaining member
of the Arizona Trial Lawyers Association
and has served on its Board of Directors.

Lindsay
Brew
Mr. Brew obtained his Bachelor’s
Degree, cum laude, from
Harvard University and his law degree
from Yale University. He began practicing
law in 1969 and was admitted to the
Arizona Bar in 1970. He joined the
firm in 1985. He has served in the
Pima County Public Defender’s
office, as Directing Attorney for
Papago Legal Services, and as the
Chief Attorney for the Southern Organized
Crime and Racketeering Division.
Mr. Brew’s practice is focused
on business torts, securities litigation,
and other civil litigation where his
prior experience as a prosecutor,
a criminal defense lawyer, and in
federal Indian law have particular
application. He is rated “AV”
