Stanley
G. Feldman
Stanley G. Feldman was one of the
three Tucson lawyers who, in 1968,
formed the firm of Miller, Pitt &
Feldman. He practiced with the firm
and was managing partner until December
1981. His fields of practice included
tort, contract, insurance, and employment
litigation, as well as condemnation
cases for both government entities
and property owners. He was active
in civil and bar organizations and
served on the Boards and as President
of both the Pima County Bar Association
and the State Bar of Arizona. He also
taught civil procedure as an adjunct
professor at the University of Arizona
College of Law.
In January 1982, Governor Babbitt
appointed Mr. Feldman to the Arizona
Supreme Court, where he served for
21 years, including a five-year term
as Chief Justice from 1992 through
1996. During his term as Chief Justice,
he was active in the National Center
for State Courts and the Conference
of Chief Justices; he served on the
CCJ Board from 1993 through 1996.
Justice Feldman retired from the
Arizona Supreme Court in December
2002 and, in 2003, rejoined the firm
he helped found. He practices with
the firm in an of-counsel capacity,
again in the areas of tort, contract,
insurance, and employment litigation,
as well as business, public interest,
and governmental matters. He is also
available as a mediator, arbitrator,
and consultant on various matters
including professional responsibility
issues.
Richard
L. McAnally
Mr. McAnally was admitted to the
Arizona Bar in 1959. Included in his
long list of professional activities
is service as President of the Pima
County Chapter of the American Board
of Trial Advocates and as a member
of the State Bar’s Board of
Governors. In 1994, Mr. McAnally retired
from the full-time practice of law.
He is available for selected matters.
He continues to serve as a superior
court judge pro tempore
in Pima and Pinal Counties, and also
as an arbitrator and mediator in personal
injury and insurance law cases.
Mr. McAnally is rated “AV”
by Martindale-Hubbell and was named
as one of the Best Lawyers in
America in the area of personal
injury litigation when he practiced
full-time.
Janice
A. Wezelman
Ms. Wezelman was raised in Tucson.
She practiced full time with the firm
from 1974 to 2000. She graduated from
the University of Arizona College
of Law with highest distinction
where she was a member of the law
review. She received her undergraduate
degree from Stanford University. She
has served as a superior court judge
pro tempore and on various
committees of the Arizona Supreme
Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for
the Ninth Circuit, and has served
as an appointee of the Arizona Bar
to the ABA House of Delegates. She
maintains an office at the firm and
is available for selected matters.
She is experienced as an arbitrator
and superior court settlement judge
and is available as an arbitrator
and mediator in selected cases.
Ms. Wezelman is rated “AV”
by Martindale-Hubbell.
Grace McIlvain
Ms. McIlvain was admitted to the
Arizona Bar in 1978 after graduating
from the University of Arizona College
of Law with highest distinction.
She has served as President of the
Southern Arizona Chapter of the Arizona
Women Lawyers Association and has
co-chaired the State Bar Committee
on Fair Employment Practice.
Ms. McIlvain was lead plaintiffs’
counsel in cases that produced the
largest sex discrimination class action
settlement in Arizona and the largest
age discrimination verdict in Arizona.
She is a recipient of the Public Interest
Award by the Arizona Center for Law
in the Public Interest and was the
first woman to receive the Walter
E. Craig Distinguished Service Award
from the Arizona Bar Foundation.
Ms. McIlvain is rated “AV”
by Martindale-Hubbell. She has been
named one of the Best Lawyers in America
in the area of labor and employment
law.
